ELLE US has revealed its annual ELLE Women in Hollywood covers, and it’s no surprise Carey is on one of them. I’ve just added the scan of the cover in ultra high-quality, as well as the first outtake taken from the shoot in the gallery, photographed by Paola Kudacki:

Mulligan’s Skylight costar, Bill Nighy, on the actress’ bravery and do-everything attitude: “There is no shtick. She arranges to be unarmed, the better for things to happen. And she is completely dreamy to do business with, charming and kind and brave as f–k.”

On the magic of shooting The Great Gatsby: “The most old-Hollywood thing I’ve ever done: flowers in my dressing room, six months to shoot. You step into Baz Luhrmann World and everything is heightened.”

On filming her newest film, Suffragette: “It was a really buzzy, fun, exciting set to be on, a lot of women doing stuff that we don’t ordinarily get to do. I’ve never run away from a bomb exploding before. Or been thrown in prison.”
