As promised, I have just uploaded 801 Blu-Ray quality screen captures of Carey from Never Let Me Go. This is a really beautiful film and Carey is wonderful in it, alongside Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley. This means that we now have captures of all of Carey’s film projects! There are only two TV projects missing, but I’m hoping to add them asap. Stay tuned!
Carey Mulligan and Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield share a sweet moment in this exclusive clip from their new movie, Never Let Me Go.
“The themes of are universal, and it’s a story that is so about what it is to be alive and all of the ugliness and the joy of it,” Andrew shared of the film, which also stars Keira Knightley.
Here’s the synopsis of the flick, based on the book by the same name: As children, Ruth, Kathy and Tommy, spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.
Never Let Me Go is in selected theaters NOW!
Today, Carey was at the Toronto International Film Festival for the press conference for Never Let Me Go following on from Saturday’s premiere. She also attended a quick portrait session – pictures are up in the gallery now! Also, below the cut are a number of interviews/clips that Carey has done recently regarding Never Let Me Go – huge thanks to Ale, Olivia, Carey and Mika for those! 😀
I haven’t read Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel “Never Let Me Go,” but it’s the source for the latest film from music video and “One Hour Photo” director Mark Romanek. The story — the basic story — follows a group of English boarding school-raised people (played by Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield) who discover some alarming truths about the world they live in once they are released into it. That’s all I know, and all I intend to know until I’ve seen the film. But with Romanek directing and a script from “28 Days Later” scribe Alex Garland, the September 15 release date seems an awfully long way away.
For those who have read the book, or who just want to catch a glimpse of what the film looks like, we have an exclusive clip for you below, part of our ongoing Fall Preview week.
Fresh online at Imp Awards are three new character posters for Never Let Me Go and jolly beautiful they are to, flaunting the film’s none-more-now cast members Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley resplendent in a blue-tinged mist, as well as a one-sheet that’s similarly striking.
Mark Romanek’s take on Kazuo Ishiguro’s acclaimed novel, adaptated by Alex Garland, is the curtain-raiser at this year’s London Film Festival and promises to be one of the LFF highlights. Judging by the trailer, it’s safe to expect one of the year’s most poignant and cerebral sci-fis, exploring the big stuff: love, death and what it means to be human.
The posters feature Kathy (Mulligan), Ruth (Knightley) and Tommy (Garfield), pupils at the mysterious Hailsham boarding school who are being prepared for a shocking fate (and it’s not summer school with George Lineker). LFF ticket holders can catch Never Let Me Go on October 13, while the rest of us will have to wait until January 14.
